36f5f7918f fix(endian): rely on system headers where possible 
Problem: Macros (re)defined in `endian.h` conflict with system headers
on FreeBSD (at least).

Solution: Rely on system `endian.h` on OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and
DragonFly
